Born from frustration, built with passion
Joost Koelewijn spent years working in financial software, as part of a team that helped companies with their administration and processes. Not just internally, but at dozens of clients too. Time and again he saw the same problem: contracts scattered across email inboxes, shared drives and folders. Deadlines were missed. Renewals slipped by unnoticed. Supplier contracts that had long expired remained legally in force.
The problem wasn't unique to one company — it was everywhere. Why doesn't a tool exist that truly solves this, intuitive, affordable and built specifically for the market? That question became the starting point for Looop.
Looop was built in close feedback loops with the market. Customers, pilot participants and advisors all contributed to the final product. The Looop team now consists of three people working together on a platform that makes smart contract management accessible to every Dutch company.
