Born from frustration, built with passion
In 2021, Joost de Vries was working as a corporate lawyer at a mid-size technology company in Amsterdam. Every week he lost hours searching for contracts scattered across email inboxes, shared drives and USB sticks. Deadlines were missed. Renewals slipped by unnoticed. Supplier contracts that had long expired remained legally in force.
He discussed it with Sara Mahmoud, a software developer he knew from university. Together they asked a simple question: why doesn't a tool exist that truly solves this, intuitive, affordable and built specifically for the market?
With Tim Bakker on board as product thinker, they started building. In January 2022 Looop went live. Today more than 500 organisations, from sole traders to international companies, rely on our platform to manage, monitor and sign their contracts.
